Sarah is the CEO and Founder of Talent Horizons, bringing more than 15 years of experience in technology recruitment. Her expertise spans international markets, allowing her to understand and appreciate diverse cultures and shaping her unique recruitment approach.

Sarah's journey began as a recruiter at Spring IT, followed by Michael Page, and includes valuable in-house talent acquisition experience with both tech startups and large global corporations.

Situated in the heart of Barcelona's tech hub, Talent Horizons is a realisation of Sarah's vision for a revolutionary recruitment experience. She is closely attuned to the evolving needs of the technology sector and prioritises building meaningful, enduring connections in this fast-paced environment. Sarah is dedicated to offering a tailored, personalised approach for each client and candidate.

Her motivation lies in aligning exceptional talent with innovative companies. At Talent Horizons, Sarah strives to empower businesses and individuals through strategic and considerate partnerships in recruitment.

Sophie is a dedicated learning and development professional with a rich history of contributions in this field. As the International Learning & Development Manager for Talent Horizons and Recruitment Entrepreneur, she holds a pivotal role responsible for conceiving and developing Talent Horizon’s L&D strategy.

In her prior role, Sophie led the build-out of the global L&D function, creating and implementing L&D strategies across multiple offices within EMEA, APAC and the USA. She established consistent global solutions and partnered with key stakeholders, including board-level executives, to implement tailored learning and people initiatives. Sophie also played a significant role in selecting and implementing learning technology and ran a Leadership Development Program with 80 leaders across 4 businesses.

Her earlier experience as a Learning and Development Business Partner at Reed Talent Solutions further enriched her L&D expertise, involving training needs assessments, designing bespoke training, and mentorship. Sophie's diverse career journey reflects her profound impact on the learning and development landscape and her commitment to driving excellence in talent development.

Sergio F. Gutierrez, a seasoned Employment Lawyer and Certified Compliance Professional, currently serves as the Head of Legal and Labor Relations at beonit. With over a decade of legal expertise, he plays a pivotal role in steering the legal strategy and fostering a culture of talent excellence at beonit.

His leadership ensures a delicate balance between business promotion and legal security, emphasising client satisfaction, exceeding expectations, and prioritising the well-being and professional development of the workforce. His experience encompasses pivotal roles, notably his tenure at Jorge Juan Abogados, where he significantly contributed to legal advisory in employment, benefits, and executive operations.

His proficiency extends beyond legal domains, having successfully managed sales teams in top retail companies. With ICCP certification, Sergio blends legal precision with business acumen, ensuring a seamless integration of compliance and strategic vision.

Often recognised outside the industry for his appearance in the BBC’s Dragon’s Den series, James Caan CBE has been in recruitment for over 30 years and invests and supports recruitment companies of all sizes across various geographies and sectors.

Alexander Mann, his first recruitment business, sold in 2013 for $350 million. His second recruitment venture, Humana International, grew to 140 offices across 30 countries. His third sale was a collection of six recruitment companies to Graphite Capital in 2014 for $150m.

James takes an active role in contributing towards the strategy of Talent Horizons, working closely with Sarah Connolly to support the business’ exciting growth plans and vision.

Pablo Sanchez, Country Manager for RE Spain, is a recruitment entrepreneur and venture capitalist with 15+ years of experience.
Based in Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area, he helps entrepreneurs, businesses, and high-calibre individuals achieve personal wealth and success.

Starting at Accenture in 2005, Pablo held leadership positions at GMV and became Chief Integration Officer.
In 2013, he joined Catenon as the Managing Director for the Middle East and Turkey, fostering strong relationships with clients, partners, and candidates.

Pablo's expertise lies in identifying exceptional individuals who have consistently excelled in their careers, helping Founders and new businesses thrive in a competitive market.

Mariano Cañas, Portfolio Manager for RE, has 20+ years of experience in the recruitment industry.

He held management roles at Catenon Worldwide Executive Search, Experis España, and ManpowerGroup Solutions.
Most recently, he served as Operations and Business Development Director at The Key Talent, specializing in agile HR platforms for efficient and data-driven recruitment, assessment, and training.

Mariano prioritizes customers, candidates, and employees, using data-driven strategies and fostering a robust decision-making culture.

He attended executive programs on digital business and data management at ISDI and Harvard Business School.
